I’m Julian Kolsut
An award-winning multimedia producer with hands-on experience across the entire media and marketing process. Based in San Diego, California, I create content for prominent brands and world-renowned experts. Whether managing a team, shooting and editing content, launching a brand, or guiding strategic communications, I bring a full-spectrum approach to multimedia production.Currently, I work with leading voices in the medical world to grow their online presence and enhance customer experience through multimedia. While video—both short and long-form—is my primary medium in today’s landscape, I also produce podcasts, live streams, online courses, web, social media, and print content. My strength lies in transforming complex topics into engaging, approachable narratives for broad audiences.Previously, I worked in B2B and B2C marketing and communications, contributing to the successful approval of several multi-million dollar development projects—including TELUS Ocean, a $100M innovation center. Before that, I held multiple producer roles in documentary film, overseeing projects from pre-concept through delivery. One such project, Grounded in My Roots, created in partnership with Salomon and Lululemon, earned “Best Health & Nutrition Film” at the IVFF and was an official selection at the Maui Film Festival.My foundation was built in the fast-paced world of television as a multimedia journalist and digital news editor. I learned to chase, capture, and craft compelling stories under tight deadlines. My reporting has been picked up by ABC’s Good Morning America, BBC, Agence France-Presse, and Sky News. Never feeling like she found a sense of ‘home’ in Canada, and only being connected to her Malawi and Indian roots through her mother’s stories and preparation of food, Nicolette Richer questions her belonging and identity in this world where she often feels alone. After becoming friends with like-minded people in her 20’s, she witnesses a close-friend’s father reverse his stage IV cancer using plant-based whole foods as medicine. With her tenacious entrepreneurial attitude, she began to dedicate her life to learning and teaching food is medicine. On her quest to help others reverse their diseases, constantly caring for other’s well-being and health, she sacrifices her own. Taking time away from her entrepreneurial endeavours, she travels to her homelands of Malawi, which equally became one of her greatest blessings and most difficult realizations.
